Today, July 8th, 2013, the Bayelsa Public Information Management Committee held a very crucial meeting at its Saptex Road Secretariat. The Bayelsa Public Information Management Committee rose from the meeting with the following decisions:
1. To visit all Ministries and MDAs and work in synergy with them, through effective policy communication.
2. To understudy the programmes and policies of MDAs with a view to making recommendations to relevant authorities.
3. To vigorously pursue areas of concern raised by Bayelsans to ensure that such challenges are communicated to relevant authorities.
4. To closely monitor on-going projects in the State and provide a confidential Report to the Governor of the State with appropriate recommendations.
5. Engage in aggressive sensitization campaign in order to inculcate the culture of hard work, attitudinal change, value re-orientation and sound information management culture.
6. The sensitization campaign with begin with a Town Hall Meeting with market Women and then such exercises with begin from Sagbama, Kolokuma/Opokuma, Southern/Ijaw and Ekeremor; Ogbia, Nembe and Brass LGAs with the grand finale in Yenagoa.
